Marieke Blomme guides triathletes at sea
Bram De Langhe is a triathlete and loves to swim. The Waregemnaar wanted to swim across the Channel last year, but bad weather threw a spanner in the works. 1,700 training kilometers further, it is ready for a final test.
Swimming in the sea involves a lot. All authorities must be notified, and the circumstances must also be favorable. Bram is lucky today.
Not everyone can just go swimming in the sea. You must have swum five kilometers in open water before you are allowed to do this. But that is no problem for Bram. He even flirts with Bart Colpaert’s record.
At the end of July, Bram will attempt to swim across the Channel.
