While the struggle stopped at this minute, the events were tried to calm down with the intervention of the police. Then, a sound bomb was thrown from the Maribor tribunes to the stands where Fenerbahce fans were. Tensions grew after this incident. It was seen that the police detained some fans. While trying to calm the fans, İrfan Can Kahveci was booed by throwing a water bottle from the stands. The referee of the fight with UEFA representatives, Fabio Verissimo, exchanged ideas on the situation of the match for a long time. Then, in the 89th minute, an announcement was made for the Turkish, yellow-dark blue fans to leave the stadium. After the Fenerbahce fans left the stadium, the match continued 30 minutes later.
