Mariano Roman new president of Ancma

The expert Venetian manager, former CEO of the Fantic Motor group, replaces Paolo Magri at the helm of the national association of motorcycle manufacturers and distributors

During the last ordinary meeting held in Milan, Ancma Confidencethe National Cycle and Motorcycle Accessories Association, has elected its new president: it is Mariano RomanVenetian manager and former CEO of the group Fantic Motor. Roman therefore assumes the leadership of the main representative body at an institutional level for manufacturers, distributors and in general for the entire industrial chain linked to the world of two wheels. He takes over the role a Paolo Magria Brembo man and CEO of Eicma, who will however support his heir in the four-year term of the new mandate as vice president (a role he had already held before his appointment as president) together with Cristiano De Rosa.

Engineer, class 1955, Roman boasts a long experience in the motorcycle and cycling fields. Under his guidance and in a relatively short period of time, the Fantic Motor group of which he is also a member has brought the brand of Brianza origins back into vogue and taken control of highly prestigious companies such as Bottecchia And Minarelli engines, constantly strengthening its presence on the market. As the new president of Ancma, Roman will inevitably be one of the key figures of the national motorcycling in the coming years, an industry that in our country is worth over 9 billion euros, positioning itself at the top of the entire eurozone. And to this will be added the responsibility of bicycle sectorwhich alone is worth 3 billion euros.

In his first speech since presidentRoman first of all thanked the members for their trust and mentioned the first objectives of his program. Among these he cited: “The need to intensify the activities of promotion of the use of two wheels and communication of the social value and economic relevance of the sector; The strengthening of the supervision of dossiers and regulatory activities in Europe; The involvement of the association in the planning of urban mobility by local administrations; the request of subsidiary measures able to unleash the full potential of the sector and make it more competitive”.
