Marechaussee is ready with shovels and vans for farmers’ protest at Schiphol

The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee is ready with various vehicles at Schiphol for a possible farmer’s protest at the airport. The Marechaussee is visibly present not only at Schiphol Plaza, but also on the roads leading to the airport.

Reporter Doron Sajet announced this morning that the roads to Schiphol are still free of tractors and protesting farmers. The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee is standing with various shovels and five BE vans (similar to ME vans) in front of the Sheraton hotel at Schiphol Plaza, things are also being closely monitored at Rozenburg.

Road narrowing on cycle paths

A spokesman for the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee says that several road narrowings have even been made on bicycle paths in the vicinity of Schiphol.
