Marcus Diekmann and Johannes Kliesch found Founders League

Digital entrepreneur Marcus Diekmann and Snocks founder Johannes Kliesch founded Founders League GmbH and are launching an interactive live show for start-ups in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The aim is to give young people with an entrepreneurial spirit reach and access to their business and investor network. The founding team also includes Benjamin Diedering, managing director of the content production studio BDX Media, and Julian Rauch, who will take over the operational management of Founders League GmbH.

A good idea is not enough

“The Founders League wants to give start-ups a real stage,” explains Marcus Diekmann. “Our idea of using a digital, interactive live format to reach our business and investor network offers a huge opportunity for start-ups.” If you don’t have the right contacts and you can’t quickly build up a reach, you’ll have a hard time,” adds Johannes Kliesch. “This is exactly what we want to change with the Founders League and create a platform on which courageous founders can build up access to a network that is relevant to them.” The show concept works as follows: six start-ups meet three experienced jurors and have five minutes to prove themselves in the elevator pitch and live chat. The combination of experienced hosts, new business ideas and the interactive live chat make this show special, according to the initiators.

First episode starts in June

The first pilot episode will be produced live on June 1, 2022 in Leipzig and broadcast via LinkedIn and YouTube. The goal of the founding team is to reach over 100,000 viewers during the entire playout of the first pilot episode. The first season with eight to ten episodes is then planned for autumn 2022. The live format is refinanced through advertising partnerships.

Start-ups can now apply via the website to take part in the first pilot episode. It is also possible to apply for the 75 exclusive spectator seats live on site in Leipzig via the website.
