Marco Mengoni in Sanremo 2024: when he sings and hosts

MTuesday 6 February on Rai 1 Sanremo 2024 begins. At the helm for the fifth consecutive year is Amadeus (in the dual role of host and artistic director). At his side, in the early evening, Marco Mengoni arrives. He is the first co-host of the 74th edition of the Festival.

Amadeus himself announced it last November 6th during the first episode of Viva Rai2!, Fiorello’s show in which he was a guest with Mengoni. «Having been the winner of the last edition, he will be the super musical guest of the first episode». It is the fifth time he has graced the stage of the Ariston Theatre. The first was in 2010, at the beginning of his career, followed by a second participation and a guest appearance, until 2023.

The two victories at the Festival

The song is written by Marco Mengoni with Tropico (pseudonym of Davide Petrella) and Davide Simonetta (d.whale), also present at Sanremo 2024 as authors, the first of Emma, ​​Ghali, Rose Villain and The Kolors.
