One place is concerned: on Sunday afternoon, several hundred people marched through Döbern (Spree-Neisse) and commemorated Nick Frischke (22), who had been missing in South Africa since February 15.
“We want to mobilize and draw attention,” said Sonnika Lindner (44) at the end of the march of hope in front of the volunteer fire brigade, of which Frischke was a member.
And because they are not giving up hope in Döbern, they sent a video message to South Africa in Afrikaans and English. Because they criticize that the search for the young man has been stopped.
It seems certain that he was the victim of a violent crime. Five men are on trial in Cape Town. One of them has confessed to being involved in a robbery on Nick near Carboniferous Mountain.
He also testified that one of his friends stabbed the Brandenburger with a kitchen knife. The men were in possession of Nick’s personal belongings.
