Marcel van Roosmalen criticizes Angela de Jong at VI: ‘She cackles!’

Marcel van Roosmalen lashed out for the umpteenth time in Today Inside at Angela de Jong, whom he absolutely hates. He thinks she spends too much time on TV.

The criticism of Angela de Jong is getting a bit boring: it is always the same accusation and it always comes from people who often appear in the media much more often. “Well, I think it’s a bit much. I think so,” said Marcel van Roosmalen yesterday in Today Inside about the many performances by his media colleague.

‘What nonsense!’

Wilfred Genee in firing mode: “Too much? In the picture and present everywhere in newspapers and podcasts?”

Marcel: “Yes, she has become part of the TV world she writes about herself. Now I don’t think she calls herself a reviewer but a media journalist.”

Wilfred: “Yeah, but she has to do it, doesn’t she? She has explained that here herself. She is here because she has to.”

Hélène Hendriks: “No, I think that’s such nonsense. You don’t have to do anything.”

‘She chooses’

Wilfred: “No, she has to represent that newspaper. She is here to represent that newspaper.”

Johan Derksen: “No, she chooses that.”

Wilfred: “No, that’s an assignment. She made that clear at the time.”

Johan: “You have to want it yourself, but it is very good for a newspaper that there is a figurehead who sits down everywhere, because wherever she is it is called AD. That’s pretty important, but I understand what Marcel means. Then you should also be critical of your own performances when you’re talking from your neck.”

self-mockery

Wilfred: “Does she do that?”

Hélène: “Yes, she does that sometimes, doesn’t she? She is quite critical of herself and also has quite a bit of self-mockery, don’t you think?”

Wilfred: “Yes, I think so too.”

Johan: “I also enjoy reading it in the morning.”

Hélène: “Yeah, me too.”

René van der Gijp: “I’d rather see her at the table than Ad Melkert. I have to tell you quite honestly: if Angela de Jong is with Beau, then I think that’s fine, yes… Nothing wrong with that.”

Johan: “Yes, she always has a little girl and she chats. I have nothing against that woman.”

“She’s news herself!”

Marcel tries it again: “At a certain moment she just became the news herself. First with your broadcast. Then she first sat here at the table and then she runs to another studio to report on what she experienced here. And the next morning she’s on TV looking back at her own role in the media frenzy. I like that a lot.”

Wilfred: “It’s starting to rub off a bit, you say? It’s getting uncomfortable?”

Marcel: “Yes, that’s me. She should write what she wants.”

But: “Isn’t it very strange that she does that? Who is she then? She cackles happily every now and then, but that’s about it.”
