German professional golfer Marcel Schneider achieved his best placement in over two years on the DP World Tour.
The 33-year-old from Pleidelsheim finished the tournament in Singapore with a total of 273 strokes, sharing third place with South Korean Wang Jeunghun and Alejandro Del Rey from Spain. The South African Ockie Strydom got his second victory on the former European tour. Thanks to a very strong final round of 63, the 38-year-old prevailed with 269 strokes just ahead of the Finn Sami Välimäki (270).
Ratinger Marcel Siem played 17th place at the $2 million event at the Laguna National Golf Resort Club with 276 strokes. Olympic participant Hurly Long from Heidelberg (278) finished 30th at the Singapore Classic.
It was Schneider’s first top ten finish of the season. His best result on the DP World Tour so far was a second place in summer 2020 in Austria.
