Marcel van Roosmalen and Gijs Groenteman ultimately do not make the switch to Talpa. It remains with their summer ‘stage’; they say they have signed up with BNNVARA.
Marcel van Roosmalen and Gijs Groenteman have been making the weekly talk show Media Inside on NPO 3 for the public broadcaster BNNVARA for a few seasons. However, the gentlemen only really came into the spotlight when they presented the summer VI replacement Marcel & Gijs on the much larger SBS 6 last month.
Nice offer Talpa
Although the current VI replacement, De Oranjezomer with Hélène Hendriks, is doing much better, the Marcel & Gijs program has been greatly applauded. Talpa bobo Paul Römer was happy to bring them in for all subsequent summers and it was even tipped on the radio to record the two to make the weekend talk show of SBS 6.
None of that: Marcel and Gijs are now making in their podcast Another Day Extra known that they have added to BNNVARA. “You felt that Suzanne Kunzeler (the boss, ed.) radiated: you always have to choose your principles,” says Marcel. “Because we can safely say: we also had a very nice offer from Talpa…”
‘Not enough money’
Gijs also has a good feeling about Talpa, he says in a sarcastic tone. “I also have a very friendly and warm feeling at Talpa, because how the red carpet was laid out for us there…”
According to juice king Yvonne Coldeweijer, who has accused both Marcel and Gijs of cheating and therefore apparently also has BNNVARA red spies, Talpa did not offer enough money. “They certainly received an offer, but they ultimately found the amount too low 😂,” she writes on her juice channel.
Media Inside back
Viewing expert Tina Nijkamp states on her analysis channel that Media Inside will simply return to the third public network after the summer. “Probably weekly talk show on NPO 3 from this fall.”
