Clothing supplier Marc O’Polo, which received the German Brand Award 2022 just last week, will in future offer employees the opportunity to work from home throughout the EU. The company is thus further expanding its range of hybrid work and strengthening the internationalization course that it has embarked on.
“Our employees make a significant contribution to the success of our company. Modern work concepts are very important to us. With the new opportunity to work in other EU countries, we give them even more flexibility to organize their everyday work and leisure time in harmony,” comments Markus Staude-Skowronek, CFO/CHRO of Marc O’Polo AG, in a statement .
With “The Freedom to Flexwork”, Marc O’Polo initially created a structure that allows people in an international organization to work together in a future-oriented manner. The concept is based on modern, sustainably designed buildings, innovative workplace concepts and a hybrid working model. “The aim is to enable employees to use their working hours efficiently and flexibly – with more personal responsibility for ongoing employee satisfaction,” says the company.
“Following the excellent feedback on our “The Freedom to Flexwork” concept, this is the next logical step that is also driving our internationalization course internally. We are very pleased to be able to offer our teams this opportunity,” adds Behija Karup, Director Human Resources & Central Services.
Marc O’Polo employees can work up to 50 percent of their working hours from the mobile office; with the expansion of the regulation, parts of it are now also EU-wide. “Employees have the opportunity to extend their stay at their holiday destination if necessary, to plan “workation” stays or simply to be inspired and motivated at work in another country,” explains the company.
Flexible and hybrid regulations are increasingly the rule rather than the exception; A few days ago, the specialist retailer BabyOne had allowed employees at the headquarters in Münster to work across Europe. Decathlon Germany already made its working culture more flexible last year and Primark introduced a hybrid working model for office workers.
