Marc O’Polo enters into partnership with Retraced for more transparency in the supply chain

Clothing supplier Marc O’Polo has entered into a strategic partnership with the Düsseldorf start-up Retraced in order to achieve more transparency in its supply chain and individual traceability for each individual item.

The company is not only tackling an important milestone in its own sustainability strategy, but is also upgrading in relation to the new law on supply chain due diligence, which will also apply to companies with more than 1,000 employees from 2024.

“Complete traceability in the supply chain is one of the most important topics in the industry. I am pleased that we have found a partner in Retraced who can accompany us in this essential, complex and long-term project using the latest technology in an agile and transparent manner,” commented Susanne Schwenger, CPO of Marc O’Polo AG, in a press release.

Through the partnership with Retraced, the clothing supplier will be able to control the traceability of its products along the supply chain completely digitally and in a standardized manner. After a successful onboarding of all suppliers, the long-term goal is now to make each product separately completely and transparently traceable.

“The collaboration between Marc O’Polo and Retraced is an exciting step for the entire fashion industry. The project is intended to show how deep transparency in the supply chain can be made possible through efficient data exchange between brands and suppliers in a scalable manner,” explains Lukas Pünder, CEO & co-founder of Retraced.
