The clothing supplier Marc O’Polo is changing its license partner for body and beachwear. The Stephanskirchen-based company announced on Tuesday that the textile manufacturer Corsina Europe GmbH, which belongs to the Triumph Group, will in future manufacture the corresponding brand products under license. The first collection to be developed with the new partner is scheduled for launch in the spring-summer 2023 season. Marc O’Polo announced that the cooperation with the previous license partner Schiesser ended with the delivery of this year’s autumn/winter collection.
With the licensing that has now taken place, the clothing supplier is, according to its own statements, “consistently continuing the new brand orientation in the underwear segment”. Susanne Schwenger, CPO of Marc O’Polo, explained the decision: “As part of the market-leading Triumph Group, Corsina is the ideal partner for us thanks to its comprehensive expertise and high degree of innovation in the field of body and beachwear,” she explained in a statement . “We also want to secure additional market shares in the lingerie segment with more modernity and a rejuvenated brand.”
Petra Steinheimer, CEO of Corsina Europe GmbH, also has high hopes for the future partnership: “Marc O’Polo is a dynamically growing brand that we believe has great potential in the body and beachwear sector,” she explained. “We are all the more pleased that as a new partner we can take over development, production and distribution and contribute our experience in these areas. Our sourcing expertise allows us to achieve Marc O’Polo’s ambitious sustainability goals in the underwear segment as well.”
