The clothing supplier Marc O’Polo SE is bundling its sales activities under new management.
On Tuesday, the Stephanskirchen-based company announced the appointment of Dirk Schneider as Chief Sales Officer (CSO). In the newly created position, Schneider will assume responsibility for all sales channels – i.e. wholesale and retail as well as online and offline business – as a member of the board from April 1st, said Marc O’Polo.
According to the company, the structural reform aims to “consistently advance a completely integrated, customer-centered omnichannel strategy with a view to internationalization and sustainable profitable growth.”
Schneider was most recently in the management of the travel retail specialist Gebr. Heinemann SE & Co. KG as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) responsible for the areas of purchasing, marketing, supply chain and commercial effectiveness. Previously, among other things, he held the position of Chief Digital & Operating Officer at the S.Oliver Group.
Werner Böck, the chairman of Marc O’Polo’s supervisory board, explained the personnel decision: “I am very pleased that in Dirk we were able to gain a manager with comprehensive expertise in retail and e-commerce,” he explained in a statement. “His broad experience in international companies as well as his data-based approach – always with a focus on the end customer – makes him the ideal candidate for us.”
