Marc Márquez smiles as he throws his sling in the trash

We must continue to be optimistic, says the environment of Marc Márquez, but this is starting to look better. The champion of Cervera (Lleida) just threw away the sling six weeks after the team at the Doctor Joaquin Sanchez Sotelo perform, for almost four hours, a humeral osteotomy on his right arm on the Mayo Clinic in Rochesterin Minnesota, United States.

During these six weeks, Márquez, who has caused some joy on his social networks with funny statements on Instagram, has been exercising, in the company of his brother Àlex, who will leave Honda next season to ride a Ducati ‘Desmosedici’ in the team of the late Fausto Gresini, and today, finally, he has announced that he is throwing away the sling that helped him keep his right arm and shoulder immobile.

full hope

Six weeks later, the medical team made up of doctors Joaquin Sanchez Sotelo, Samuel Antuna and Angel Cotorro, was satisfied with the evolution of the right humerus. Afterwards, Marc was given the go-ahead to enter the next phase of his recovery and begin physical therapy on his right arm and cardio training.

“We have taken an important step in the recovery process & rdquor ;, says Márquez after communicating the significant progress. “In this second check-up, the doctors have confirmed that the humerus is consolidating correctly, with which we can start the physiotherapy of the right arm and cardiovascular training. We must remember, although these types of statements must always, always be kept safe, that Alberto Puigthe sporting chief of the Repsol Honda team, recently showed his hope, enthusiasm and, of course, the need for Márquez to get on the bike as soon as possible, that is, before the end of this season, with the priority intention, not just to win races, something materially impossible, but to give the necessary instructions to the Japanese engineers of HRC, the competition department of the winged firm, so that they rectify everything that they have made wrong in this year’s motorcycle and, next year, the eight-time world champion, now recovered, can enjoy his riding like in the years in which he dominated MotoGP with authority and determination.
