Marc-Marie Huijbregts thinks Glennis Grace’s son is an ‘acorn’, but no excuse for misbehaving as a mother. “You can’t blame the boy for that.”
Glennis Grace revealed to Eva Jinek’s talk show table that she went to get a story under false pretenses at the Jumbo supermarket, where she then misbehaved extremely. Before she left, her son Anthony told a lying story about being mistreated there.

Now Glennis is put in the Private as if she is also some kind of victim. ‘Is Son’s Lie Killing Glennis’ Career?’, headlines the magazine. ‘The whole reason for the Jumbo riot turns out to be a made-up story.’
Marc-Marie Huijbregts does not think this is a fair turn of the story, he says in his podcast Marc-Marie & Aaf Tell Everything. “I think Glennis herself ended her career. That boy indeed lied all together, that’s fine, but in the end it was her choice. You can’t blame the boy for that.”

Co-host Aaf Brandt Corstius agrees. “No, I don’t think so either. I think it was rather something else that ended Glennis’ career, right? Just all that shit in the Jumbo.”
Marc-Marie finds the role of the 16-year-old son very bad. “She is very wrong, it is a jerk, but she should have just thought: I’ll call or go there alone.”

Aaf: “Yes, or: I will get a story, but without physical violence.”
Marc-Marie: “Yes, like: I’ll be there tomorrow, I still need something. Now to pretend it’s all the boy’s fault, that’s just not true at all.”
Aaf: “I also find that a bit strange.”

Meanwhile, Marc-Marie also gives a neighbor of Glennis and her son, the well-known columnist Roos Schlikker, a sweep. Roos has said that Anthony has a very bad reputation in the area. “He has a big mouth. That’s a tough boy, yes.”
Marc-Marie thinks Roos is a bit sensational. “I think that’s a bit like when there’s a plane crash you say, ‘I was there three months and four days ago too!’”
