Marc-Marie Huijbregts reacts quite incorrectly to the duet that Gordon recorded with Glennis Grace. “It’s wonderful that they all come together like that,” sneers the comedian.
If you are Gordon making a musical comeback, you would think that you would want to make sure that you surround yourself with people who do have a good image. It was therefore quite a surprise that Glennis Grace suddenly appeared next to him at his album presentation last week. They sang a song together.
‘Looking for each other’
It is very telling again, sneers Marc-Marie Huijbregts podcast with Isa Hoes. This episode is about Patty Brard and how she was called a ‘sweet alley cat’ by her good friend Viktor Brand. A strange characterization, he thinks. “I don’t think so. I don’t think she’s a street cat.”
Marc-Marie is more likely to think of someone else. “I don’t have the idea that she, for example, is very fighter-like. What Anouk has a little or Glennis has, yes. She does. Glennis also has a wonderful duet with Gordon, doesn’t he? It’s wonderful that they all look for each other like that,” he says scornfully.
In other words: like seeks like, he wants to say.
Not first time
It is far from the first time that Marc-Marie has spoken negatively about Gordon. In fact, this happens all the time. For example, Goor recently made the comedian literally gag. “Of course you had this year… [Begint te kokhalzen]. I can almost… Wait a minute. It always makes me a little nauseous… Gordon.”
Conversely, Gordon has also regularly made mincemeat of Marc-Marie in the past. As an example, he said: “In De Wereld Draait Door he is successful because he contributes there – it is a lot more difficult for him solo. Too little personality.”
Song with Glennis
Now Gordon has recorded a song with Glennis. She is not very smart in terms of PR, Evert Santegoeds sneers in his podcast. “I find it striking that she sings a duet with Gordon and then releases her single on the same day. That’s a bit of a disappointment, but hey, that’s a choice.”
In any case, Glennis is proud of her duet with Goor: “Gordon has always been there for me. He is like a fatherly figure to me.”
