Marc Jacobs and Coty expand licensing partnership

The fashion house Marc Jacobs International and the US group Coty Inc. have added a new category to their long-standing partnership. The cosmetics manufacturer, which has held Marc Jacobs’ perfume license since 2003, will also launch the brand’s beauty and care products on the market, the two companies said in a joint statement on Monday.

With this step, the fashion label, which belongs to the French luxury goods group LVMH, is returning to the cosmetics business. In 2013, it launched the Marc Jacobs Beauty line with partner Kendo Brands. However, the collaboration ended at the end of 2021.

Sue Nabi, CEO of Coty, has high hopes for the new joint project: “The revitalization of the Marc Jacobs cosmetics portfolio, now in partnership with Coty, will be welcomed by consumers around the world who are excited about the return of the brand, eagerly awaited,” she said in a statement. “The expansion and renewal of our long-standing agreement is a testament to the continued success of our partnership and the label’s limitless potential.”
