The Kuopio Steelers won their third consecutive American football Finnish championship on Saturday.
Steelers defeated Seinäjoki Crocodiles 21–14 (14–6).
The match turned into a thriller, as the solution was only seen in the last moments. The Crocodiles tied the game at 14-14 with only one and a half minutes left on the Game Clock.
The Steelers Le’Anthony Reasnover settled the championship by returning the kick-off following the Crocodiles’ equalizer into the visitors’ goal area.
The people of Kuopio took the lead 21–14, and the Crocodiles couldn’t catch the difference.
The best player of the match was awarded to the Steelers Colby Campbellwho tackled 13.5 times.
