In recent days, Schiphol has seen a striking number of suitcases that remain in the space near the baggage belts. The airport says it is working to store these suitcases in a different place, so that travelers are not bothered by this. The suitcases are left behind due to staff shortages at baggage handling and airlines, says a Schiphol spokesperson after reporting by the ‘NOS’ and ‘De Telegraaf’.
