Many nurses in intensive care on the verge of burnout

On average, 20 percent of nurses in an intensive care unit show a high risk of general burnout. About 40 to 45 percent are at high risk for some aspects of it, such as emotional exhaustion, depersonalization or reduced ability. This is apparent from a report by the Federal Healthcare Knowledge Center (KCE) after a survey of 2,321 nurses.
