With 3,303 corona patients in hospital, we are again close to the record in the fourth wave. But there is a trend break. One third to half of omikron patients are not in hospital because of corona. Many infections come to light during admission for a different reason, we hear from the large hospitals. Yet it is still all hands on deck there. “Three of our 15 operating theaters are closed. We have to postpone surgery again while people are dying on the waiting list.”
