the pp accelerates to close the future Government of Castile and León. On Thursday the first great agreement between the parties of that community will be visualized when the Autonomous Courts are constituted. “Everything is still up in the air & rdquor ;, they affirm in the hard core of Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, recognizing that the priority goes through “tie as far as possible” the wickers of the investiture for that same day. If they do not succeed, they affirm, they will close the pact regarding the Cortes and continue negotiating. The talks are currently limited to vox and Soria Now!. With both formations”there are notable advances” and the objective of the popular ones is to tie up the support of the Soriana platform to transfer an image of greater transversality. This is how El Periódico de España publishes it.

Above all, given the evidence that getting rid of Vox is almost impossible. Santiago Abascal’s party maintains as a red line to be part of the next regional government. Even if the PP agreed to hand over the presidency of the Castilian-Leonese Cortes, Vox will demand to be in charge of several ministries.

After the elections of February 13, the ultra formation obtained thirteen prosecutors while the PP, far from its expectations, added two more than it had up to 31. With the support of Vox the numbers come out, but in the environment of Mañueco recognize “greater efforts” to get the support of some other groupthe three prosecutors of the province of Soria, as a way of escaping from the first joint government pact with Abascal.

The stage is devilish because Syria Now! is contrary to an agreement involving the entry of the extreme right in the executive. But, at the same time, the PP is willing to accept many of the platform’s requests. Mañueco is aware that the formation from Soria, just like Teruel Exists in Congress, does not have government ambitions, but to transfer usefulness and influence to materialize improvements in their respective provinces. That is what they cling to in their negotiation with Soria Ya!: the possibility that they can sell specific policies thanks to their support.

It is not a minor matter within the PP because there are Castilian-Leonese leaders and deputies from that community who they look suspiciously at any approach to local parties fearing that, as has happened with Tomás Guitarte from Teruel, they will continue to grow to the detriment of the traditional parties. “If we give them air we are lost in Soria & rdquor ;, reflect some popular charges.

The point is that Mañueco is determined to reward Soria Ya! if he guarantees the yes in his investiture. In the PP they begin to assume almost without nuance that Castilla y León could be the first stage of a government pact with Vox. In that community they assumed it before in Madrid with the electoral results in hand. The hard core of Mañueco recognized on the same night of 13-F that another path would be very difficult despite the fact that the mandate of the previous leadership and, very especially, of Teodoro García Egea was to avoid sharing councils with Vox at all costs.

The PP is now in a transition that can favor this agreement. Alberto Núñez Feijóo will not be proclaimed president of the PP until the first weekend of April and, although he insists that the PSOE “is not here to give lessons to anyone & rdquor; nor put homework on their training, absolutely delegates the decision to Mañueco. The main leaders of this provisional leadership move along the same line. Cuca Gamarra, general coordinator, considers that he is the president of Castilla y León “the one who knows best & rdquor; the territory and the only one endorsed to decide on the future government. Esteban González Pons, president of the Organizing Committee of the Popular Congress, called “extreme right & rdquor; to Vox last week and this Monday he limited himself to affirming that he would not pronounce about the negotiations.

A step back that they perceived throughout the match and that some sources establish within “a wake-up call & rdquor; that he would have received, precisely because of the difficulties in which the Castilian-Leonese negotiation was putting. If Feijóo has insisted on something in all his public interventions these days, it is “the maximum respect for Vox voters& rdquor ;, convinced that the vast majority should return to the PP. For this reason, they recognize in the PP, “the balance of words & rdquor; it has become very important.

Different leaders recognize that “crudeness & rdquor; expressed by González Pons days ago has a lot to do with his European career and the perception that Vox and its partners throughout the Union have within the EPP. But, in Spain, they assume, “things are different & rdquor ;. And the PP must adapt its speech to these nuances.

The meetings in Castilla y León continue. Mañueco’s negotiating team met again with Soria Ya! this Monday and with Vox the conversations are also continuous. As confirmed in the PP, the negotiation of the ultra party continues to be directed by the national leadership and supervised, in addition to Abascal, by another fundamental piece in the party that is Kiko Méndez-Monasterio.

PP and Vox agree on “closing the program agreement & rdquor; before talking about counseling. And to that end they keep communication open. Mañueco wanted to make his red lines clear from the first day, rejecting the “steps back & rdquor; in social and equality matters that Vox proposed. Gender violence and democratic memory are two clear examples. Abascal’s party recognizes that the popular ones have the most weight in the equation and assume that they will not be able to meet all their demands, but they are not willing to give in on important issues either. On the contrary. As El Periódico de España reported, Vox attended the event in Castilla y León convinced that I couldn’t repeat mistakes like the one in Madrid laying the red carpet for Isabel Díaz Ayuso.
