Manor celebrates reopening in Lausanne

The Swiss department store chain Manor has given its branch in Lausanne a makeover. On November 1, the departments of beauty, jewelery and accessories were reopened, the retailer belonging to Maus Frères Holding announced on Tuesday.

The cosmetics area alone has an area of around 1,250 square meters and contains numerous innovations. “Manor introduces an unparalleled type of shopping experience combined with beauty services with this brand new concept, which includes numerous Swiss premieres,” said Felix Potocnik, Category Director Beauty and Partnerships at Manor, in a statement. “New and exclusive brands, hip and long-term cooperation in the form of shop-in-shops, changing event zones and exclusive beauty services” are “unique for a department store in Switzerland”.

The largest Sephora corner in Switzerland, measuring 122 square meters, was also set up in the beauty department. Manor thus further expanded its long-standing collaboration with the cosmetics chain belonging to the luxury goods group LVMH. “In May 2016, the first Sephora shop-in-shop in Switzerland opened at Manor Geneva. The French brand is now represented in 25 Manor department stores,” the retailer said.

Patrick Morliere, General Manager of Sephora Switzerland, praised the partnership. “The close and important collaboration between Sephora and Manor heralds a new era with the extraordinary upgrade in Lausanne,” he said in a statement. “Our Sephora Corner in Lausanne is the largest in Switzerland and, in addition to the Sephora Collection, also offers a comprehensive selection of exclusive brands.”
