Dr. Martín Zamora and Matías Fracalossi, How did Manho Traumatology of Shoulder to Hand arise and for what purpose was it carried out?
Modern traumatology is a specialty that has evolved incredibly over the years along with technological advances and scientific discoveries. This has determined the development of highly specific subspecialties such as those that solve health problems that affect everything from the shoulder to the hand. . With this vision we set out to develop a highly trained team in this area in the Northern Patagonia region. Both professionals were trained at the National University of Rosario and we completed our Fellows in that city and in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aries. For several years we participated in different conferences, conferences and training activities, professional rotations abroad and we carried out the University Training Course in the specialty. After several years of being based in the provinces of Rio Negro and Neuquén, we decided to develop a brand and a way of working that unifies all the years of training and aims to provide our community with an excellent service in this area of traumatology. Therefore, in 2022, “Manho Traumatology from Shoulder to Hand” was born. At the same time, in 2023 we added Lic. Emila Silva to the team as an Occupational Therapist.
What are the services you provide to your patients?
We provide optimal and effective outpatient care in the office. In addition, we carry out arthroscopic, mini-invasive surgeries, microsurgeries and traditional surgery; Trauma care by guard; Sports, work, reconstructive and joint preservation pathology; Regenerative and biological medicine; neurological injuries; Pediatric diseases of the upper limb; Academic activity, university teaching and postgraduate training.
How do you project the brand in the medium term?
Position the Manho brand as a regional and national reference for diseases from the shoulder to the hand. Develop ourselves as a zonal referral center for these pathologies. Establish ourselves as trainers of personnel specialized in diseases of the upper limb. Be creators of specialized educational content open to the community.
What are your differentials in the sector?
We are the only team specialized solely in the pathology of the upper limb in Norpatagonia. Both professionals are Certified by the Argentine Association of Hand and Reconstructive Upper Limb Surgery. We have a comprehensive vision that unifies Healthcare Medicine + Academic Activity + Citizen Collaboration.
If they started over, what would you do differently?
It would not have taken us so long to encourage ourselves to develop the brand and start working as a team. Advise us from day one with specialists in marketing, project management and professional coaching. Interact more quickly and actively with the different actors in our community.
