Mango invests in technology start-up Ziknes

The Spanish clothing retailer Mango is supporting another young company. On Wednesday, the textile retailer announced that it had invested in the start-up Ziknes through its business accelerator Mango StartUp Studio.

According to Mango, the company, founded in 2021, has developed a robotic 3D printing process that makes it possible to produce furniture from recycled materials. As part of the investment that has now taken place, Ziknes received additional financing through a convertible loan to advance its projects. In addition, the start-up team will gain insight into Mango’s business processes as part of a funding program and “receive advice and mentoring sessions from the company’s experts in areas such as product design, especially furniture design.”

With Ziknes, the Mango StartUp Studio, which was founded last year, is supporting the fifth young company. The aim of the facility is to “promote innovation at Mango, identify new growth opportunities and participate in the development of new technologies or business models,” according to a statement.
