Spanish clothing retailer Mango has massively expanded its e-commerce presence. The company announced on Thursday that new online shops have been opened in 22 countries since the beginning of the year.
According to its own information, Mango is now represented with its own online stores in more than 110 countries. The recent openings are “a big step forward in our internationalization strategy,” said Elena Carasso, who is responsible for online business at Mango, in a statement.
The new e-commerce markets include not only countries in which the clothing supplier already had its own branches, but also countries in which Mango was not yet represented. The focus was on the African continent.
“Opening our e-commerce in various African countries, especially those where we have not previously had a presence, gives us the opportunity to gain insights into the market and also strengthens our capacity to meet the needs of consumers there Territories to satisfy,” explained Carasso.
