Mango celebrates reopening in Vienna

The Spanish clothing retailer Mango has modernized another branch in the Austrian capital Vienna. The store at Mariahilfer Strasse 86 is now open again after a “fundamental renovation”, the company announced on Friday. “It is the fourth shop in Austria to implement the new, Mediterranean-inspired ‘New Med’ concept, which is present in the company’s flagship shops around the world,” explained Mango.

The shop with a sales area of 600 square meters in the popular shopping street is one of “the most important points of sale in the country,” according to a statement. Mango is now offering its women’s and children’s fashion collections there again after the renovation.

“With the renovation of our Mariahilfer Strasse point of sale, we are offering our customers a welcoming environment in which to live unique and personal experiences,” said Daniel López, Mango’s Director of Expansion and Franchising, on the occasion of the reopening. “The new ‘New Med’ concept presents the Mango stores as a Mediterranean house with different spaces where warm tones and neutral colors prevail, mixed with traditional, handmade, sustainable and natural materials such as ceramics, tuff, wood, Marble, esparto grass or leather.”

Last year, the company already equipped two stores in Vienna with the new concept. These are the branches on Kärntnerstraße and in the Millenium West shopping center.

At the end of 2022, the clothing supplier said it had a total of 39 points of sale in Austria. These included “own shops, franchise shops and corners in department stores”. In addition, Mango is represented in the country with its own online store and on digital marketplaces.
