Mane tells Liverpool whether he will stay after the Champions League final

Will he stay with Liverpool or leave? Sadio Mane answers that question after the final of the Champions League, Saturday in Paris against Real Madrid. The Senegalese attacker, who would be in the interest of Bayern Munich, has already made a decision, he says.

“I will answer the question of whether I stay or not after the Champions League final,” Mane told Sky Sports. “What I want to say now is that I am completely focused on winning the Champions League. That is the most important thing for me and the Liverpool fans. I will answer that now. But come back to me after the final and then give I’m sure the answer you want to hear. It’s special.” Mané seemed to hint at a longer stay in Liverpool.

The 30-year-old attacker has been playing for the English top club since 2016, after two years at Southampton. The Senegalese started his career in France with FC Metz and then played in Austria with Red Bull Salzburg. Mane’s contract with Liverpool will expire next year, as will those of Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.

The attacker has already scored 120 goals for the ‘Reds’, with which he won the Champions League in 2019 and the English title a year later. Mane has already won the League Cup and FA Cup with Liverpool this season. He also led Senegal to win the Africa Cup and the World Cup, in which the Dutch national team is one of the opponents in the group stage.
