Sadio Mané seems to want to play a prominent role in Munich. For Serge Gnabry there was advice from the newcomer.
Sadio Mané started work at FC Bayern last Friday – and apparently proved to be a leading player straight away. “Change! Keep it! Together” (translated: “Change! Hold! Together”; editor’s note), the Senegalese announced loudly during every exercise and cheered on his teammates. This is reported by the “tz”.
“You should extend your contract”
What’s more, the 30-year-old also seems to set the tone off the field. Even before the training session, Mané is said to have met new colleague Serge Gnabry in the underground car park – and immediately made an announcement to the national player: “You should extend your contract”, said a video in French.
Gnabry is reportedly still facing an unanswered offer to extend his contract with gross earnings of up to €19m. Further talks are expected to take place between the club and the 26-year-old in the next few days.
Mané is said to have completed an extra session the following day after training and fine-tuned his goal finish. “I enjoyed it and the other guys liked it too. I’m very happy to be here,” was the conclusion of the former Liverpool star after the first few days in Munich.
