Björn Dixgård (41), frontman of the Swedish rock band Mando Diao, worries about the future of the younger generation.
“The other day my daughter asked me if she had a future. I said: Of course you have a future. But nobody knows what the future will really bring,” said the singer of Mando Diao (“Dance With Somebody”) in an interview with the German Press Agency.
“Twenty years ago nobody believed in a war in Europe, but if you think about it, there was always war somewhere. It has to stop at some point, who knows what else will happen. And the climate is even more alarming,” said Dixgård. “I guess there’s a future, but we can’t put it on youth to fix the world. We must do something too. And I try to contribute by making music that people might like and that can inspire them to do something good.”
Mando Diao’s new album (“Boblikov’s Magical World”) will be released on Friday (April 28).
