Ratcliffe, the founder of petrochemical company INEOS, which purchased 25 percent of the club’s shares for 1.25 billion pounds, will also have a say in the control of football operations.
71-year-old Ratcliffe will also provide £236 million for investments in Old Trafford Stadium.
The US Glazer family bought the club for £790 million in 2005.
