Just a year after his sensational comeback with the Red Devils, Cristiano Ronaldo could be over again. The Portuguese would like to play in the Champions League next season, but United only qualified for the second-tier Europa League.
A sufficient reason to deposit his transfer request in Manchester. Ronaldo was absent from United’s summer tour of Thailand and Australia for family reasons, he said.
The rumor mill was running high, the 37-year-old has been linked to almost every club qualified for the premier class. After cancellations from FC Bayern and Chelsea FC, Atlético Madrid is said to be the most likely buyer.

Allegedly, Ronaldo is even willing to forego part of his current annual salary of around 30 million euros at Atlético. A circumstance that shouldn’t matter to the fans of Atlético Madrid, the majority of the supporters have already positioned themselves clearly.
Meanwhile, the English “Sunday Mirror” reports that for Manchester anyway, a maximum of one loan deal from the superstar is possible. The explosive union of Ronaldo and Atlético would therefore be limited in time.
