The Citizens are thus again the list leader in England. The lead over number two Liverpool is one point (77 to 76) with six rounds to go. Veltman and Brighton are in the middle bracket.

In the Etihad Stadium, Aké and co had trouble breaking up the close defense of the visitors for a long time. That only worked after 53 minutes. Kevin De Bruyne started a beautiful solo. The ball was lucky enough to reach Riyad Mahrez, who scored through an opponent: 1-0. In the 65th minute Phil Foden decided the game with a changed direction from long range. In the final phase Bernardo Silva also made it 3-0.

Many goals in London derby

Arsenal have won the London derby against Chelsea. At Stamford Bridge, the visitors were too strong after a goal feast: 2-4. Eddie Nketiah gave Arsenal the lead after thirteen minutes, but four minutes later it was again equalized by a goal from Timo Werner. Goals from Emile Smith Rowe (Arsenal) and César Azpilicueta (Chelsea) tied both teams halfway through: 2-2.

A second goal from Nketiah put Arsenal back in the lead and Chelsea also failed to turn the tide with substitute Hakim Ziyech. In injury time, Bukayo Saka scored the final score with a utilized penalty: 4-2. Chelsea remain third in the table, with 62 points after 31 games. Arsenal are fifth (57 points after 32 matches), but have as many points as number four Tottenham Hotspur. The top four of the Premier League qualify for the main draw of the Champions League.
