Nothing else could be said about the match that had just ended in Etihad.

Sure, Manchester City beat Real Madrid 4–3, but the Spaniards could be happier with the result.

– The main thing is that we do not give up at any point, two goals scored Karim Benzema said in a radio interview

Real Madrid really didn’t do that. The team was already at a 0-2 loss after 11 minutes of play.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti had at that point completely stopped grinding the chewing gum. The Italian stared into the emptiness with glazed eyes like in the Humpback Tone Bill joke.

Maybe he just didn’t want to believe what he saw. Real Madrid defended the criminal weakly. Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden were close to scoring a third goal.

City manager Pep Guardiola was awake in its own technical area. The Catalan demanded success on his own because he knew that Real Madrid’s hibernation would not last long.

After 33 minutes, the visitors nearly went up a goal, but Benzema’s free kick hit the crossbar Oleksandr Zintchenko and lifted Madrid back into the match pair.

The 1-2 reduction was created through the post.

Immediately after the reduction, Guardiola gambled John Stones with the state of play ended in defeat. The man was unable to continue, so the Catalan had to send a brass veteran Fernandinhon to the field.

Painting party

The break was led by City’s 2-1 lead, but right from the start of the second period, the open-door defensive game resumed. Real Madrid let Mahrez pass, but the Algerian bet stopped at the Madrid goal post.

The loose ball fell within Foden’s reach, and this time Dani Carvajal kept the guests still in the fight with their goal line rescue.

With 53 minutes played, Mendy had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot flew harmlessly into the side-netting of the goal. The young man was allowed to enjoy Fernandinho’s concentration in peace for 3-1 goals.

The story continues after the picture.

The match was, of course, between two giants of Eurofuties, but neither defense even rose to the level of a wooden club series. Just two minutes after the previous one Vinic June turned him on guard Fernandinho out of the situation and showed tremendous speed in the running race.

21-year-old Brassi left his compatriot to watch the taillights as he challenged to a 50-meter spurt and scored 3–2 goals Ederson behind your back.

Courtois fell asleep

After 70 minutes, Ancelotti finally had a free kick in a decent position. Eduardo Camavinga however, did not get into the game until the hosts struck again.

This time, Real Madrid clearly stopped playing when Toni Kroos overthrew Zinchenko right on the border of the penalty area. Romanian judge István Kovács however, suggested the game continue.

Bernardo Silva reacted the fastest and warmed up to the front corner of the ball. Madrid’s Spartan Courtois froze completely and didn’t even try to counter-attack.

Neither was the last goal as the ball hit the City topper Aymeric Laporten in hand, and Kovács shows the ball to the spot.

Benzema shoots Panenka with a comma and tonight Real Madrid third.

– Of course, this was a great match for the fans. We played against a multiple Champions League winner, and we knew they would strike if we let the ball in dangerous areas, Foden said.

– The match is fully open. We need to make better use of our place, the Englishman complained.

The opening session, played at a breathtaking pace, ends in a 4–3 victory for Manchester City, and this semi-final will continue in a week in Santiago Bernabéu.

Etihad saw a great football show that leaves the decision entirely to the second round.

– Of course, the loss is never good, but we still dream of winning the Champions League, Benzema decided.
