The retailer Schuh und Sport Mücke GmbH, which belongs to ANWR Group eG, will have to manage without managing director Thomas Klein in the future. The 49-year-old will leave the company “after 13 years in various functions on December 31, 2023 and dedicate himself to a new challenge in the future,” the parent company announced on Wednesday.
Klein, who has been a member of Mücke’s management since spring of last year, has played a “significant role in the group’s expansion” and “significantly further developed the e-commerce and omnichannel initiatives,” according to a statement. He also “intensively and successfully pushed forward digitalization within the company, especially in the areas of HR, marketing and in-store technology.”
Klein’s position in the management of the Mücke Group will not be filled for the time being. The remaining managing directors Kathrin Schmidt and Felix Schmuck will lead the company as “dual leadership” in the future, explained the ANWR Group.
