The management of Lil ‘Kleine is thinking about continuing their collaboration with the rapper. Management said in a statement today. Jorik Scholten, as the artist is really called, is still incarcerated on suspicion of assault. It is unclear when he will be released again.
‘Namam is very shocked by what happened between Jorik Scholten and Jaimie Vaes, both of whom we currently represent. We are a management agency of well-known artists, talents and influencers and we are very aware of the social exemplary function they have and the responsibilities that come with it. We attach great importance to them actually taking those responsibilities. We disapprove of any form of physical violence and will not tolerate our artists misbehaving,” the statement read.
Namam states that they are ‘not only there in good times, but also in bad times’. ‘We are doing our utmost to guide everyone involved in this situation as best as possible.’
The rapper’s management is currently considering continuing our collaboration with Jorik Scholten. ‘If we continue to represent him as an artist, we will attach strict conditions to this. We cannot make any announcement about the content and scope of these terms and conditions. That touches on Jorik Scholten’s private life.’
Detained
The rapper was arrested on suspicion of assault on Sunday night, two days after he was sentenced by a judge to 120 hours of community service for kicking a man in a nightclub. Images are circulating on social media, in which it seems that the rapper is pulling a woman – possibly his girlfriend Jaimie Vaes – by her hair from the car.
Those surveillance images also show that Lil Kleine, whose real name is Jorik Scholten, clamps the woman’s head between the car door. It is not yet clear whether the police arrested him for this alleged assault or another incident.
The management of Lil Kleine and Jaimie Vaes announced on Sunday that they had seen the images. †[We hebben] close contact with both and [zullen] come up with a more detailed explanation later. No comment will be made until further notice. For now, we ask the family to leave it alone.” Management could not say what exactly happened. Scholtens lawyer Nienke Hoogervorst does not want to comment on the case yet.
The police announced on Sunday evening that a report had been made of assault on the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam. A 27-year-old driver was arrested on Stadhouderskade. At the time, he was alone in the car.

Statement
Sony Music, the music giant that would assist Lil Kleine after his break with Topnotch, announced yesterday that it would make a statement about the incident. However, the spokesperson is through the Belgian branch of Sony Music, which could not be reached for comment this morning.
Youth channel FunX has indicated that it does not want to play music by Lil Kleine for the time being. Other channels did not play the rapper’s music. Streaming service Spotify has removed Lil Kleine’s songs from its curated playlists.
The management of Lil Kleine also represents his girlfriend Jaimie Vaes. In the meantime, Vaes has made himself heard on Instagram. She shared a video in her stories last night in which their 2-year-old son Lío figures. “Valentine,” she captioned it.
