Excitement in Berlin-Spandau on Friday morning! A man with a gun is said to have been seen at Carlo-Schmid-Platz, it was initially said. According to the police, there are several schools nearby. The police later gave the all-clear.
The hazard warning was about a toy gun that is supposed to be used in a play today, police said at 10:27 a.m. on Twitter.
“The student with the prop was found and our forces sensitized the school children to the handling of toy guns.”
The police had previously announced shortly before 10 a.m. that they had “received an indication of a possible dangerous situation at several schools in Spandau”.
The police continue: “Even if there is no concrete suspicion of a crime, our forces are there and clarify the matter.”
According to BZ information, the emergency call to the police was received at 9 a.m.
