The 36-year-old man from Assen who was removed from the Roof of the McDonalds in Assen on January 29, has to go into jail. The judge decided at the end of April that the man had to be obliged to treat himself and then imposed a conditional prison sentence of three months as a stick behind the door.

The thirties was guilty of domestic violence in January. He abused his girlfriend in front of their young children. The woman’s phone was destroyed. The man went to the fast food restaurant, where the police also arrived shortly thereafter. The man fled the roof of the restaurant. He said he was shocked by a police dog.

The Assenaar left a month ago after the conviction for the destruction of the roof and telephone, mistreatment and marketplace lighting the court in Groningen. The following Monday he stood by the clinic, but took off after an hour. “He heard what was in the clinic and did not want to be there,” said his lawyer Tineke Pieters.

The thirties was immediately arrested and had to appear on Friday before the conversion of the conditional staff for the police judge in Assen. Only his lawyer made the way to court. According to the judge, the suspect can use some help and she thinks it is a shame that he does not affect that opportunity. “I can’t help but that he has to sit those three months now”.

The suspect previously indicated that he wants treatment, as long as he does not have to stay in a clinic. In 2022 he received twelve months in prison for Stalken and threatening his then wife in Veendam, of which four months were suspended. He is still under the supervision of that earlier treatment, which means that an outpatient treatment may still be possible.
