On August 15, the special intervention units cordoned off Passendaalsestraat in Moorslede for a while. A 24-year-old man barricaded himself in his home. After almost a day they were able to overpower him. It later turned out that he was in possession of several firearms and hand grenades.
The young man should not go to jail for those facts for the time being. He must seek counseling for his serious drug addiction.
