Ten Hag celebrated the championship with Ajax Amsterdam this season to say goodbye to the Netherlands. Rangnick had held the post of interim coach since December. The 63-year-old was hired as Austria’s national coach at the end of April and nominated his squad for the first international matches under his direction on Monday. Ten Hag did not want to comment on whether Rangnick would remain as a consultant at Manchester United as planned. It’s up to the club to decide.

Even before the start of the last game of the “Red Devils” season on Sunday, it was already clear that Edinson Cavani (35) was leaving the club. Still coach Rangnick confirmed this to the club’s own TV station. On Monday, United then sent a farewell tweet to the Uruguayan via the official Twitter channel.
