Specially trained agents arrested a man on Saturday afternoon who turned things upside down in the apartment complex on Europalaan in Tilburg where he lives. He threatened to set the building on fire and destroyed a door and a frame, among other things. He also threatened fellow residents in other ways.
The police called in a so-called support group (OG), because it was known that the 31-year-old Tilburger could use force in the event of an arrest. The equipment of this group resembles that of an arrest team.
The man eventually went along quietly. He had retired to his apartment after which members of the OG rang the doorbell. The resident is in a cell. The police had taken action after receiving ‘a good number’ of reports from people living in the complex.
