In Vladslo, near Diksmuide, a man had a serious accident with his car last night. The driver crashed into a concrete pole and a tree and eventually ended up in the canal. The man was still conscious, but could not call the emergency services himself because he was seriously injured. Fortunately, there was a cyclist who saw the accident and immediately raised the alarm.
