The police aimed a weapon at a man in Tilburg on Monday evening after he stormed at an officer with a large knife. This happened at a flat on the Europalaan. The police had come to take a look after a possible fight. The man could be arrested.
Officers drove to the apartment home around 10 a.m. When they stood at the front door, they heard that people were inside. Despite this, the door was not opened. Wanting to make sure everyone was okay, the officers asked the people inside to open the door. No one responded to this.
Suddenly, a resident opened the door. He charged at one of the officers with a large knife in his hands. This officer aimed his service weapon at the man, after which he put the knife away and was arrested. The man is being held for further investigation. The police have filed a report against him. It turned out that no one in the apartment was injured.
