A 17-year-old Coevordenaar was arrested last night after a stabbing in a house on Van Giffenstraat in his hometown. A 55-year-old local resident suffered minor injuries.
“Shortly after midnight we received a report of a stabbing incident in the house,” said a police spokesman. There, a couple got into a conflict. “The young man injured the older man with a sharp object. He is in custody and is being questioned.” Police say the suspect and victim are known to each other.
The police have now spoken with several witnesses, but hope that camera images also exist.
