A man was stabbed on a city bus in Amsterdam North at the end of the afternoon. He was slightly injured. The police have now arrested a suspect.
The stabbing happened on a city bus on line 34 in the direction of Olof Palmeplein. The bus came to a stop at the Mosplein stop. The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The police are still investigating the cause of the stabbing, but it probably happened after an argument. The perpetrator fled the bus shortly afterwards. About 40 minutes after the stabbing, police arrested a suspect.
Other travelers who were on the bus could continue their journey in another bus.
