A man was seriously injured in an industrial accident at the Afsluitdijk in Den Oever this afternoon. The victim was taken to hospital by air ambulance.
The man was doing demolition work while at work, the police reported Instagram. The man was hit by a falling concrete wall near the Vlietermonument.
Several emergency services, such as the police, fire brigade and trauma helicopter, arrived on the scene for the victim. It is unknown what condition he is in.
