A man was seriously injured last night in an argument during a house party in Purmerend. Police have arrested eight suspects.
The police went to Mossel Bay after reports, where a house party was going on. There would have been an argument inside, after which a group continued outside. Witnesses report to the police that someone was allegedly stabbed outside, another reports that shots were fired.
Officers found an injured man at the intersection of Mossel Bay and Wonderfontein. The group standing outside is said to have harassed rescuers. The injured man was taken to hospital. The severity of the injuries is not yet known.
Eight suspects
Police said five boys were immediately arrested. Later, three more arrests were made on Rijksweg because they may be involved in the fight. The boys are between 16 and 22 years old.
It is not yet entirely clear what happened at Mossel Bay. The police are therefore looking for witnesses or CCTV footage.
