Emergency services took a person from the Hoornse Plas near Eelderwolde on Thursday around half past six. The diving team of the fire brigade, the ambulance and a trauma helicopter came to the rescue.
A man had gotten into trouble while swimming. A father and a boy then helped the man to the side.
The man has been examined by medical personnel. The victim was rushed to hospital.
