Man raids solar center in Izegem, police cannot catch perpetrator

Around 6.45 pm a robbery took place in the sun center Sunbeauty. A man aimed his weapon at the head of owner Angelique van Luchene and demanded the contents of the cash register.

She would have knocked the weapon away, after which the perpetrator fled. The man of foreign origin, according to Van Luchene, traveled on a green/yellow fluorescent mountain bike and wore a brown sweater with a hood, long trousers and dark glasses. The police confirmed the robbery, but could not yet catch the perpetrator. Further information will be communicated later by the public prosecutor’s office.
